Improving water quality in 3-sub-catchments

Eight farmers and landowners are collaborating to improve water quality in their area. The project is kindly supported by the Farming in Protected Landscapes programme.

Owl boxes

The project submitted by Nant-Isa for the Test & Trial was to install two Barn Owl boxes on their holding. They are passionate about conserving owls and encouraging breeding to help the population status.

We are a father and daughter duo that both have a passion for farming and a love for the countryside. We have lived on the Stiperstones for 7.5 years, and owned a small flock of pedigree Jacob and Herdwick sheep for 6.5 years.

Stone Acton Farm

James’ grandfather bought the farm back in 1950’s and it’s currently run by James, his father and uncle. The farm is mixed soils and plenty of stone and hill. 340 acres of woodland and grassland in which 30 acres is set aside for arable.
